Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem, The Horrible Crowes) and Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music) singing Gaslight’s Great Expectations. YES PLZ.
Both At The Drive In and Refused reformed at this years Cochella. I found this rip of ATDI but still looking for the Refused show. Cedric sounds like he’s half singing everything and Omar looks like he’s at practice, but the Sparta half of the band really make it awesome.
While first being super cute and creative, there is also a Gospel theme that is unmistakably potent. Christ will always find a way to us, even when we are unable and unwilling. :)
Cherry Blossoms - in honor of Spring
I started watching Friday Night Lights about a month ago on Netflix and I just finished watching season one. I can clearly remember saying, when I heard about FNL premiering on NBC, something like “that [show] is going to be dumb”. Well, I’m not wrong much and apparently when I am, I’m dead wrong. FNL is dang good.
Ending season one is a song called “Devil Town” performed by Tony Lucca but written and originally performed by Daniel Johnston. If you dont know who Daniel Johnston is then watch the trailer at the bottom for the great documentary made about his brilliant and painful life (which is available on Netflix DVD’s).
Probably don’t agree with everything in the lyrics but I’ve always been curiously entranced by Morrissey for a long time. Also, I’m really freaking excited about being in the UK this time next month. Crossing my fingers that I run into Morrissey or Thom Yorke.
We made a video for “Promises” from our new record Major/Minor. Check it out:
